Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo in The Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk as well as Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a writer, director and producer. Silk is the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna has some of her earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk was a small model in a commercial. She graduated from St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Her early theater experience includes two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009 and married with a civil ceremony December of the same year. The couple got married in Fredericton on April 10th the couple renewed their vows, following Silk's conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, the 13th of May, 2016. Silk's work on television has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. She was given the role of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk fell pregnant during the production of the season three finale, and revealed this to viewers on the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20th that she was ready to return to working. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially announced the beginning of the production for the fourth season. The CNN Cable News Network named her performance as Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved TV Couples. E! named them the Top TV Couple in 2013.
